Introducing the new club committee for 2026.

A GAA club thrives on the sweat, determination and generosity of its members, both with their dedication and their time. It needs volunteers who care in order to be effective and drive things forward. Vienna Gaels is lucky to have such a large body of committed people who are working hard to develop and grow Gaelic games in Austria.

At the helm of that determination each year is the executive committee, elected annually at the Club AGM.

This year’s committee consists of:

Shane Moloney – Vice-Chairperson

Having first joined the Gaels in 2020 and has served as PRO on previous committees. He returns to the committee in 2026 with a few more years of Vienna life under his belt and, presumably, a second edition of his acclaimed “Teaching Austrians How to Hurl” book in the works. As Vice-Chairperson he’ll be helping keep things on track on and off the pitch.

2026 is a year full of promise for Vienna Gaels. The club continues to grow, the pitch at Meiereistraße is as busy as ever on a Monday evening, and the community that makes this club what it is shows no signs of slowing down. Whether you’re a seasoned member or thinking about coming down for the first time, there’s a place for you here.
