Vienna Gaels Ladies Football is one of the fastest-growing teams in the club, bringing together players from across Europe to compete in Gaelic football.

We’re a friendly, social team that welcomes players of all abilities – from complete beginners to experienced players. No prior experience is necessary.

• Time: 18:00 – 20:00
• Location: Prater (1020 Vienna)
• What to bring: Sports clothing, sporty footwear, water & towel for shower, etc.

What is Ladies Gaelic Football?

Gaelic Football is a fast-paced field sport combining elements of soccer and rugby. It’s one of Ireland’s national sports and is played by thousands of women worldwide.

The game emphasizes skill, speed, and teamwork – making it accessible and exciting for players of all backgrounds.

Our Team

We’re a diverse squad with players from Ireland, Austria, Germany, Italy, Canada, Australia, the UK, and beyond. Many of our players had never heard of Gaelic football before joining – now they’re hooked!

We compete in the GGE European Football Championship and attend tournaments across the EU.
